HotRod 5.3L (LS) Shortblock
Gen 3: Uses a 24x reluctor wheel crankshaft and a Gen 3 configuration 5.3 block with the knock sensors in the valley.
Gen 4: Uses a 58x reluctor wheel crankshaft and a Gen 4 configuration 5.3 block with the knock sensors on the side of the block.
The aluminum block option saves approximately 100 pounds on your engine setup.
